Trigon Associates, LLC (Trigon) is serving as a sub-consultant on multiple projects consisting of the preparation of Stage 1 Environmental Assessments (EA) for roadway projects. The projects are being administered by the New Orleans Regional Planning Commission with LaDOTD being a primary stakeholder.
US 61/Airline Highway at LA 3152/Clearview Parkway
This project included preparation of a Stage 1 Environmental Assessment with Line and Grade Study for one of the busiest roadway intersections in Jefferson Parish. The Environmental Assessment was completed in accordance with National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) guidelines, along with Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) regulations and guidelines. Trigon’s primary areas of responsibility included data collection, identifying and mapping existing utilities, utility relocations and cost estimates, public involvement and public outreach support.
LA 406/Woodland Highway Widening (LA 23 to LA 407)
This project included preparation of a Stage 1 Environmental Assessment and evaluation of multiple alternatives for widening a busy roadway through Plaquemines and Orleans Parishes (LA 406 between LA 23 and LA 407). Trigon’s primary areas of responsibility included data collection, identifying and mapping of existing utilities, drainage system assessment, utility relocations, cost estimates, public involvement and public outreach support. Trigon also provided Construction Engineering & Inspection (CE&I) Services.
Replace Belle Chasse Tunnel and Bridge
This project includes the evaluation of three (3) build alternatives for replacing the existing Belle Chasse tunnel and bridge with a new four-lane bridge facility – one (1) fixed high-level bridge and two (2) movable bridges, each with a different clearance from the bottom of the bridge to the mean high tide level in the Gulf Intracoastal Waterway.
Trigon’s primary areas of responsibility include environmental site assessment, development of typical sections, right-of-way and utilities assessment, traffic study/traffic counts, construction maintenance of traffic, and ROW/utilities assessment.
